The East Coast Greenway is a 3,000 mile route that runs along the Atlantic coast of the United States.

From Calais, Maine, in the north to Key West, Florida in the south, it is currently a combination of bikeways and road routes, though the goal of the East Coast Greenway project is to complete an off-road, traffic-protected greenway for non-motorized human transportation which runs the entire length of the Atlantic coast.

In 2010 I rode the East Coast Greenway from Providence, RI, to Key West, Florida in an attempt to raise money for Meals on Wheels, a volunteer program which helps feed homebound elderly and disabled.

Though the trip was a success there were many problems raising funds directly or getting support from the Meals on Wheels organization, despite their initial enthusiasm.

Many donations were made directly to the organization so it is unknown as to how much money I was able to raise.
