My name is Cleanshave, and I dropped out of society to see the world for myself.
I have been living out of a backpack since July 20th, 2015. A date that I have tattooed on my leg, reminding me to keep walking, and not look back.
Since then, I’ve been wandering around with no money, no plan, and no idea where I’ll end up next.
In the beginning, writing and long distance hiking saved my life when I had no other reason to keep going.
Hiking gave me a place to go, while writing helped refine my vision of a world misunderstood by the general population. What started as an escape became a life spent moving, chasing the horizon, walking the line between solitude and connection.
Slowly, over the years, I lost that thing society had groomed me to be, and became more of myself once again.
The wilderness is where I feel most at home, but there’s always been something pulling at the edges. A lingering question. A vision unfinished. Now, I’m carving out space to build something lasting, even as the call of a life outdoors continues to whisper through every decision I make.
Maybe this is just another leg of the journey. Maybe it all leads back to the trail. Either way, the adventure isn’t over yet.
