Rode the Grand Canyon Railroad into Williams because I’ve never been there before, which is too bad because Nanys Tacos has the best tacos I’ve had in the US. Hiked a little ways out of town to camp for the night. A little close to the interstate but I don’t mind. #wandering #Arizona

In the light of a new day anything is possible… #headingwest #wandering
Spending Time on My Property
Marked the boundaries of my property and the southeast corner has a sweeping view of the Petrified Forest National Park. Working on plans for a meditation structure facing the rising sun… and a composting toilet. #workinprogress #Arizona

Hitchhiking from Pie Town to Holbrook
Hitchhiked 170 miles from Pie Town, NM to where RT 66 passed through Holbrook, AZ in just under four hours. To me that’s impressive when it’s a three+ hour drive without having to wait for people to pick you up. Time to let the snow melt before I jump back on trail. #hitchhiking #wandering
AZT to CDT via Tombstone, AZ
Hiked into Tombstone to see the OK Coral and Boot Hill Cemetery. Didn’t take enough pictures. Realized that I was going to miss my ride to New Mexico unless I hustled… so I hitchhiked rather than walk the last 30 miles to the train station. #greatday

Ned, on the other hand, couldn’t help but wonder if he should correct Siemens’s misquotation of Einstein’s famous phrase about […]
Heartbroken in El Charco
After losing a large chunk of unpublished work written over the last ten years, one of the saddest losses of my life, and a huge blow to my potential future income, a hike is exactly what I needed. #itsjustbooks #welcometothejungle #dramaqueen
