Well-worn backpacks leaned against the market’s rustic walls. Dirty, determined faces told stories of the wild. These were thru-hikers, part of the nobo bubble surging toward Washington’s challenges. He, an exception, headed south.
Yet in this convergence, distinctions blurred. North or south, past or future… all faded. They were united by adventure’s call. Amidst stories shared and friendships renewed, the town’s glow held them. The trail united wanderers, spun their tales, and in the night’s embrace, promised more.
