Hitchhiking to Roosevelt Lake

I woke up in the middle of nowhere and decided to hitchhike. Down the road to Roosevelt Lake where I could finish the leftover pizza still heavy in my pack. Cell service had been faint at best and quickly died off, contributing to the overall sense of quiet.

From Roosevelt Lake I hiked up and out, past the quiet cemetery and curious cows, I ascended into the Superstition Mountains. Here, time slowed to a gentle crawl, every step unveiling dusty memories, like pages in an ancient book.

As I walked, the mountains stripped me bare, peeling away layers of my soul. Not a single photo snapped; it was an experience meant to be felt, not captured.
