Greetings from the Florida Trail. First off I would like to apologize for the Monthly Report being late. It’s a little harder to do this on the phone than I anticipated, since it is also my trail guide. Which means that I depend on it for not getting lost and for finding water and campsites. Both electricity and cell phone signal are often in short supply, as is physical energy at the end of the day.
In preparation for being out on the trail for the foreseeable future, six months worth of regular donations were made in advance. Lately I have been donating 10,000 Centus per month to the Shave account, but on January 1st, 60,000 Centus were deposited into the Shave account to fund token buybacks and to raise the Melt Value of the XH5 token.
Unfortunately, due to the XLM price appreciation over the same period, what should have been a significant donation hardly made a dent in the Real Value. Not enough to raise it above the previous Real Value buy order, so that has remained the same. And most likely, no other monthly donations will be made until X-Day, July 20th, 2021. We might be in for a long stretch before that Real Value gets raised. And there are no guarantees that will happen.
Just to be clear, once the buyback budget is depleted, the Real Value buyback order is the only price at which you are guaranteed to be able to sell your XH5 back to the Shave account.
That being said, I hope everyone took advantage of the Seven Days of Christmas Buybacks. From Christmas to New Year’s what would normally be weekly buyback orders were put up every day in an attempt to buy back as much outstanding XH5 as possible before the end of the year.
For any of my hiker trash friends out on the Florida Trail, XH5 is free, in person, for anyone with a trustline in the Stellar wallet on their phone.
